GOAT box office Day 12: Vijay’s film enters Rs 400-crore club globally

Thalapathy Vijay and director Venkat Prabhu’s recent outing, The Greatest of All Time aka GOAT, is said to have grossed Rs 400 crore globally. An official announcement regarding the milestone is awaited. On September 16, Monday, the spy thriller saw a considerable drop in theatres. The film is currently in its second week and is expected to witness an incline during the third weekend as well.
According to tracking website Sacnilk, the spy thriller is said to have minted Rs 6.50 crore nett at the Indian box office. This is almost 50 per cent decline compared to Day 11 collection. At this rate, GOAT will continue its run without any major releases.
The 12-day collection of GOAT now stands at Rs 219.75 crore nett in India. The Tamil version of the film recorded an occupancy of 32.84 per cent in India.

Trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai mentioned that GOAT is refusing to slow down at the box office in Tamil Nadu. The film has retained the majority of the screens. Though September 20 will see multiple releases, Harish Kalyan’s Lubber Pandhu and Hip Hop Adhi’s Kadaisi Ulaga Por are trying their best to get major screens.
